Good Bye, Donald

So, what is there left to say about Donald Trump?

There truly is a limit to outrage. Human beings were not designed to be more and more outraged day after day. The mind kind of shuts off. It’s why most people don’t really see homelessness as a problem.

Pass by one man standing on a corner begging, or sleeping on a stoop or subway grate and the image probably won’t stay with you for more than a few minutes. It’s the way cities work.

Suburbs, too, if you count the people you occasionally see taking a shopping cart from a local store.

But, back to my point. I do have a word for Donald Trump that hasn’t been used too much lately. Gone.

I don’t think the President will be around for the election, because I don’t believe he is going to win. And, sooner or later, he will find that out.

Maybe it’s the GOP running out of money, or just not spending their cash in some battleground states. Maybe it’s the number of people who are no longer around the White House, or in the many government offices in DC.

Maybe it’s the rich donors who are no longer donating. Or the smaller crowds he is drawing, even if he has to pay some people to get out and cheer.

But, I really think that before Election Day the President will realize that he is going to lose. And lose by so much he can’t stop it.

So, what to do?

Well, he will certainly blame the Democrats. Then, he will start to blame Republicans. After all, they were the ones in charge of getting him re-elected.

Oh, Jared or Ivanka may have had a hand in the campaign - after all, they are consultants - but someone really screwed up. After all, didn’t he arrange to get Hillary’s e-mails out. Finally. And didn’t people learn enough from them to keep him in office?

Oh, wait. Maybe it was the youth vote. Or the seniors. People who are 20 when they voted this year were only 16 when her e-mails were a big deal. And people who are retired probably have too many other things on their mind to read those 20,000 or 30,000 e-mails.

And when you tell them what was in them, those e-mails don’t seem that dramatic. Besides, the Q people already know about them and anyway, they make up better stories than the Trump people do.

I think there’s a good chance that before Election Day our president will come to a monumental decision. The only way not to be a loser is not to be in the race. Time to quit.

He could say he is doing it for national unity, or concern for the economy. That he is leaving our government to Mike Pence, now that the Deep State has been conquered.

After all, it’s not like the first time anyone has done it. There is even a story that some dead guy got elected once because it was too late to take his name off the ballot.

Just think, he could go back and save the Trump Empire from the chaotic and money-losing mess that his children have created. Just think how many people would stay in his hotels if there was a chance Donald Trump might just walk in.

If he actually leaves, there would be the side benefit of not having the long arm of the law reach out for him when that cheating Biden gets him indicted. Lord knows, Attorney General Clinton wouldn’t play fair with him. Neither one of them.

He could always go to Moscow and handle direct negotiations for the new Trump Tower there. Lots of Russians have money they want to launder. Or, he could go to North Korea. I understand there is a special Presidential Suite being built in a major hotel in Pyongyang, the capitol.

It’s a city of more than three million, so he should feel right at home there. He could probably still get a good location for a new Trump Tower in the central Moranbong district which is seeing a massive urban renewal.

Heck, he could probably shoot someone on the street there and not lose any support. As long as his dear friend, Dear Leader Kim Jong Un, approves it first.

Besides, Mike Pence could probably handle any details he leaves behind.
